Upon ordering lever sets or lock sets you may be asked whether it's a right hand or left hand door. What is it exactly? And how do you determine the door handing?
We split this information into two parts, since there is a difference between interior or exterior doors.
Interior Doors
Enter your house or office, walk through the hallway room by room and carefully observe the doors, you will notice that some doors will swing rightwards (on the right side hinge) and some will swing to the left (on the left side hinge).
Well, to understand the key to door delivery is only correct if the door swings inward, away from the body, when (you can see the PUSH mark). In most such cases, you will be standing outside the room. See picture.
But if the door swings (on you) PULL characters, simply jump on the other side of the door, or imagine pressing the> Door, and refer to the image guide for avoiding confusion.
Exterior
The only difference affect you if you will record with a pin lock on your front door. But if you're set with a tubular lock (bolt on rose, non mortise) then its pretty much the same as described above for internal doors . And here is why a mortise lock requires further clarification.
A mortise lock is built froma piece of mechanism that can be configured for use in accordance with the specific input, have to work around. In other word origins to determine exterior door delivery that RHR (Right Hand Reverse) or LHR (Left Hand Reverse).
Now, outside of public street or corridor and try to stand to enter your house if the door swings away from the body by the door, which is the same as the picture above, right hingeR ight H and, and hinge on the left side is eft H and L, Simple?
When the door swings to you by the door, then depend on its right, R ight H and R everse focal point is on the left side L eft H and R everse
In short, RHR is basically the same as a LH door, only you give RHR when ordering aLock. For all other applications that require an LH door. And so to LHR that corresponds to RH door.
